About Pet Care
A little, often
Grooming is far easier as a two-minute daily habit than as an hour-long battle once a month. Short sessions, ideally paired with a treat, teach the animal that being handled is unremarkable — which pays off at the vet as much as at home.
What most households actually need
A brush suited to the coat, a nail clipper, and something for teeth. Dental disease is one of the most common problems seen in cats and dogs, and brushing is the only thing that reliably slows it. Use a pet toothpaste — human toothpaste contains fluoride and often xylitol, both of which are harmful if swallowed.
In this climate
Heat and humidity favour fleas and ticks year-round rather than seasonally, and damp ears are prone to infection. Dry ears thoroughly after any bath, and check between toes and under the collar during the monsoon. Anything that looks like an infection is a vet visit, not a shelf product.
