About Dog Care & Supplies
Size and life stage first
Dogs vary more in adult weight than any other domestic species, and that changes their needs. Large-breed puppies in particular need controlled calcium and energy so they do not grow too fast for their joints — a large-breed puppy formula is not marketing, it is a different mineral balance.
Match the life stage on the pack to your dog: puppy, adult, or senior. Then match the size band if the range offers one.
Feeding routine
Two meals a day suits most adult dogs; puppies under six months usually need three or four. Measure portions with a cup or scale rather than by eye, and treat the pack's feeding guide as a starting point to adjust from over a few weeks.
Things not to feed
Keep chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, xylitol sweetener and cooked bones away from dogs entirely — all are toxic or dangerous, some at small doses. Cat food is not a substitute either: it is too high in protein and fat for routine dog feeding.
